Scammers often lure users with low-priced offers (such as fuel cards, gift cards, or recharge services) and direct them to malicious links. These links may trigger smart contract authorization or permission modification requests that attempt to change the management rights of your wallet address.
If you confirm the transaction and sign it without fully understanding the risks, your wallet’s administrator permissions may be transferred to the scammer’s address. Once this happens, you lose control of the wallet, and your assets may be stolen at any time.

Scammers may publicly share a wallet seed phrase or private key on social platforms, claiming they are “giving away assets” before leaving crypto.
In reality, these wallets are often configured with multi-signature (multi-sig) permissions. Importing the seed phrase alone doesn’t grant full control. When users attempt to withdraw assets and transfer transaction fees, automated programs may immediately siphon off the fees, preventing withdrawals and causing asset loss.
Check the status of that address.
If the page shows “Owner permissions of the current account are authorized to 2 accounts”, the wallet is configured with multi-signature control.
