What are passkeys?
We now support Fast Identity Online (FIDO) passkeys as a two-factor authentication method. Passkeys allow you to enjoy password-free login without authentication codes. It's the most secure option to protect your account, and you can use your biometrics or a USB security key to log in.
Checklist
- Log in to your account at okx.com and go to Profile > Security
- Find Passkeys in the security center and select Set up
- Select Enable passkeys and complete the security verification
- Select one of the available options to create your passkey:
- Select This Device and complete the biometric authentication/PIN code on your device
- Select USB security key
- Select A different device
- Alternatively, you can select Cancel and use your password instead
- You can go to Profile > Security > Authentication methods > Passkeys > Manage to rename your passkey to help you identify it easily.
- Select Rename to rename your passkey
- Select Remove next to the passkey you want to delete
- Complete the verification process to confirm the removal
