When you first log in using a new device, you need to authorize it. It's an additional security measure that helps to protect your account from unauthorized access. If you log in on the web, you can use phone verification, email verification, or device verification. On the app, you can use all of these methods if you haven't verified your identity yet.
When entering the verification code and completing facial verification, please ensure both steps are performed in the same IP network environment. If the network environment differs between the web and app, to complete the process more smoothly (such as resetting your password), we recommend performing the operation directly in the app.
Checklist
- To back up your wallet, go to Menu on the app > Backups > Select the wallet you wish to backup > Cloud backup/Seed phrase
- Your new device will receive a verification code. You'll then need to log in to OKX on your old device and enter the verification code.
- Authenticator App: you can open your authenticator app and get the code that's linked with your account.
- iOS: Log in to your Apple ID in the App Store, then search for OKX to download.
Notes
Depending on your country and available choices, you may need to take certain steps in order to authorize your device.
Note: to avoid any impact on your login, we recommend updating the app to the latest version. Please ensure you securely back up your wallet seed phrase and private key.
Facial recognition verification
For your account security, when logging in from a new device, facial recognition verification is required using the ID linked to your account. Please follow the instructions on your phone to blink, nod, or shake your head. Make sure your full face is visible during the verification. Do not cover the camera and perform the verification in a well-lit environment.
