The funding fee is a trading fee mechanism for perpetual futures contracts. It is designed to maintain balance between the contract price and the underlying asset price. It is not a fee generated from borrowing funds.

The purpose of the funding fee is to balance long and short positions in the perpetual futures market and anchor the contract price to the spot index price.

  4. Select the Candles > Info > Funding rate to view the Funding rate, Funding rate cap/floor, Countdown, and Funding period

  6. Select Trade > Futures > Select the trading pair under Perpetual
  7. Select Funding rate / Countdown at the top to view the Current rate/Annual, Direction and Funding rate cap/floor.
  8. Tap Learn more to view the funding rate mechanism and funding rate calculation.
  9. Note: if you can't see Funding Rate / Countdown on the web, tap the expand icon << on the right side of the page and switch to Advanced mode to access it.

Notes

The platform does not charge funding fees. Funding fees are exchanged directly between users holding positions:

When the funding rate is positive, long position holders pay funding fees to short position holders.

When the funding rate is negative, short position holders pay funding fees to long position holders.

When the funding rate is 0.00%, no funding fee is settled between either party.
