What are block confirmations and the number of block confirmations?
Block confirmation is an act in that miners add your transaction into blocks (i.e., data blocks) on the blockchain when you deposit or withdraw. It is important as it makes sure the transaction is difficult to alter.
Checklist
- How do I check the number of block confirmations?
- Log in to your account at okx.com, select Deposit.
- Select the crypto that you want to deposit in the Select crypto field and the deposit network in the Select network field.
Notes
When you've made a deposit, your deposit will be processed and verified by the miners. Once your deposit is verified by a miner, the number of block confirmations will be updated from 0 to 1. The more miners verify your transaction, the greater the number of block confirmations is.
Different cryptos and networks have different numbers of block confirmations. You will receive your deposit in your account once your deposit is verified by the required number of miners according to the crypto & network that you've selected.
Note: The greater the number of block confirmations, the harder the data altering in blockchain, and the safer the transaction
